Tuosist has a very involved community with numerous active groups and projects.
Churches
- Dawros Church : Catholic. Weekly Mass (Friday 6pm)
- St Kilian’s Church, Lauragh : Catholic. Weekly Mass (Sunday 10am)

- Dawros Community Centre : local events. Available to hire.
- Tuosist Parish Hall : local events. Available to hire.
- Lauragh Community Centre : local events. Available to hire.
- Tuosist Post Office, Ardea : sub post office and shop.
- Realt na Mara National School : for children aged 4-12
- Lauragh National School : for children aged 4-12.
- Meals on Wheels : weekly delivery of meals to the eldery (Lauragh Community Centre)
- Recycling banks : glass, tins & cans. Tuosist Parish and Lauragh Church car park.
